Year 13 University Scholarship Successes

One of our Geography students, Megan, has been awarded a scholarship by Aberystwyth University.  The John Hughes Scholarship entitles Megan to £1,000 a year and was awarded on the basis of Megan’s performance in scholarship examinations.

Karen has been awarded a Global Undergraduate scholarship by the University of Edinburgh for their BVMS Veterinary Medicine Course.  The scholarship is worth a substantial £2,000 a year for the duration of her course.

Prospective Law student Amy, has been awarded the Dickson Poon Undergraduate Scholarship for the Law LLB Programme at Kings University.  The university commented on the large number of remarkably high quality applications they had received and that their award reflects their belief and confidence in Amy’s outstanding academic potential, her career ambitions and the quality and thoughtfulness of her submission.  The total value of the scholarship is £27,000 (£9,000 per year) payable over three years.

Performing Arts Student, Katie, will start her journey in professional dance training at Urdang Academy in September. After two gruelling auditions she was awarded a place on the three year degree course where there were 2000 applicants for 40 places. In addition to gaining a place on the course she was also awarded a fee reduction award due to her performance at the auditions.
