There will also be a series of demonstrations by the best local chefs.

Organiser Wendy Rist, chairman of Friends of HMSG, said: “The Monmouth area has a wealth of excellent food and drink producers.

“Last year, around 350 visitors turned up to our first festival and it really strengthened links with the local community. We can’t wait to build on last year’s success with the next event.

“Nutrition is an important part of everyone’s health and it is particularly important for young people, studying for exams.

“We hope people learn exciting cooking skills, taste new things and, most importantly, have a really fun day out.”
