A Level Results 2015 - HMSG GroupA level pupils celebrated a glowing set of results at the Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools. The hard work and dedication of pupils and staff paid off with almost one in three students gaining all A* or A grades.

Ellie and Tilly PAt HMSG, 53.7% of grades were A* or A – more than double the national average and the vast majority of girls gained access to their first choice university.  79.6% of grades were A* to B.  Hettie gained 3A*s and 1A and will now take up her place to read German and Spanish at Cambridge.  While fellow pupil, Lizzie will read classics at Cambridge having gained a remarkable 3A* and 3 A grades as well as being a Soduko champion. Arianna had the distinction of gaining 3 A grades and was the stand-out player at the recent lacrosse world championships where she was offered a scholarship to the University of Delaware by a scout. However, she will take up her place at Imperial College to study geology in September.

Mrs Caroline Pascoe, Headmistress at HMSG, said: “I am so proud of the girls’ results today.  It is a huge relief when the hard work and dedication of staff and pupils pays off and the girls achieve their personal best, whether that is an A*, A, B or C grade.  HMSG has achieved above and beyond the national average for A* – A grades across the board, including core STEM subjects.  I cannot wait to see what the Class of 2015 go on to achieve as they set off to contribute to the world using their many and varied individual talents.”

AS Level results at both schools were the best in recent history, with almost 70% at A or B grade.  This sets the scene for an exciting future for the pupils as they commence their final year at HMSG and Monmouth School.
