HMSG Launches Brand New Business Networking Event

February 20, 2015

HMSG Business Hub LogoAs part of the 2015 International Women’s Festival, Haberdashers’ Monmouth School for Girls is launching its inaugural ‘Business Hub’ breakfast networking event on Tuesday 10th March, and is inviting women who have expertise in the area of business to network with fellow businesswomen and students over an informal buffet breakfast.  Parents are most welcome to attend, but please note that places are strictly limited as this is the first year HMSG has hosted the event and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Students are co-ordinating the event in partnership with the Women’s Business Club.  HMSG Headmistress, Caroline Pascoe said: “We are delighted to launch what we hope will become a regular business event here at HMSG.  As the whole event will be organised by our students – with the support of the Women’s Business Club – it will give them an excellent insight into the world of event management and business networking.  Our students are potential leaders of the future and we want to equip them with the necessary skills to make them outstanding businesswomen and raise their awareness of the opportunities for women in business.”

The event will take the form of a presentation and informal breakfast networking event, as follows…

Keynote speaker profile:

HMSG Business Hub Alison BretonWe are incredibly fortunate this year to welcome Alison Breton as our keynote speaker, who is currently Marketing Director at one of the finest golf courses in Gloucestershire – Forest Hills Golf Club in the Forest of Dean.  Alison started her own business whilst still in her twenties and her second company was generating a million pound turnover within fifteen years of start-up.  Having always dreamed of owning a golf club, she has revived Forest Hills Golf Club and now sets her considerable talent to making it a jewel in the crown of the Forest of Dean and a venue for local events.  It is such an honour to host such an inspiring, independent businesswoman with over thirty years of business experience and we are sure she will give a truly insightful and memorable speech, entitled ‘Do it now! Tips for achieving success in business.’

Please advise either myself or Miss J Johnson (C4L Co-ordinator) if you would like to attend, or require further information…
