Harris Society Talk – Toxicology

February 1, 2017

Rhiannon, in Year 13, reports on the recent Harris Society talk on Toxicology.  The Harris Society is run by the science department and seeks to broaden young scientists’ understanding and passion for science at the Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools.

“I greatly enjoyed the Harris talk by Claire Pottle and Sophie Lloyd about working for Sequani as a toxicologist. As someone who is interested in this field of work I was given an insight into the different tasks and challenges toxicologists are faced with in their everyday work, such as breaking negative news to clients and working under timed pressure. I learnt that there is a lot more to toxicology than I previously thought and the presentation has inspired me to seek out a work experience placement with the Sequani Company.”
