HMSGRC set off at 6.45am on Saturday for their first away race of the year.  A long day was to follow with the girls competing in two divisions in a variety of boats from Single Sculls to Quads. 

The 1^st division consisted of single scullers and 3 double sculls.  The J16 Double of Emily and Lara put in a winning performance picking up first place and followed in by Charlotte and Emma in 3^rd place.  Molly also put in a creditable performance in the J15 Single sculls coming in 6^th against some tough competition including 4 other HMSG girls.

Charlotte was our fastest sculler of the day, coming 6^th in the J16 1X but Emma was in close pursuit only 8 seconds behind.  Holly also put in one of her best single performances and finished 9^th in her category against some of the top junior talent from around the country.  The J15 Quad of Molly, Amelia, Charlotte, Carys and Felicity made it a back to back win for HMSGRC as we also won this race last year.

Some really good performances were seen on the day and it sets a marker for the training for the rest of the winter.
