On Tuesday 1^st of November, eight members of the Harris Society, accompanied by Mrs Marks and Mrs Cartwright, were lucky enough to attend the annual ABPI lecture, this year given by Lord Robert Winston, entitled ‘Can Humanity Afford the Cost of its Protection?’ We arrived very excited and were not disappointed. Professor Winston spoke enthusiastically about numerous different subjects, ranging from human evolution to whether genetics is the future of health care to comparing health care systems around the world. We were also treated to a picture with Professor Winston at the end of the lecture, which for some was the highlight of their year!
