Congratulations to Molly Anne in Year 8 who has won a National Science Competition called the Cassini Scientist for a Day Competition. It was set by the School of Physics and Astronomy at Queen Mary University of London.
The challenge was to select one of three targets (pictured below) identified by scientists and engineers working on the Cassini Space Probe Mission. The mission was to research the targets and decide which is the most scientifically valuable. Then submit your 500-word case to the university. All submissions were then judged by Professor Carl Murray, the only UK member of the Cassini Imaging Team. He chose Molly-Anne’s article from all the entries in the 11-13 year old category.
This is an incredible achievement. Well done, Molly-Anne!
