During the Easter holidays, six lucky Year 9’s travelled to Oxford University to take part in “Materials and Chemistry Day”
Here are their comments about the trip:
“I thought it was a fun and educational trip. We had loads of fun and enjoyed everything.”
“I learned a lot about density and other brilliant subjects like identifying plastics or creating chemicals.”
“We learned things such as how to make PVA glue into a bouncy ball and how to identify plastic. We also had a competition of who could make the longest thread of nylon”.
“I liked making the rainbow out of different density coloured liquids. Very interesting- especially the end lecture...”
“...I really enjoyed watching the blowing up of balloons and I got a free glow-stick!!!”
“I had such a fun time... I definitely want to come on this trip again, thank you!”
