Key role in national ballet for HMSG dancer

This month Katie will take to the stage in London’s Sadlers Wells Theatre, dancing a solo piece in the National Youth Ballet’s Gala performance as the lead role in Anna Meadmore’s traditional ballet Lavender Blue

This year, the National Youth Ballet company has a cast of 120 talented young dancers, selected from dance schools across the UK, up to the age of eighteen.

Founded in 1988 the company boasts a celebrity starred patron list likely to be in the audience, including Darcey Bussell, Wayne Sleep and the actress Joanna Lumley OBE.

Past NYB members include BBC’s ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ winner Charlie Bruce and finalists Robbie White and Drew McOnie.  Many members go on to dance professionally all over the world.

Understandably, Katie is absolutely delighted to have been invited to join this year’s NYB Summer production and we are all extremely proud of her.
