This was a most enjoyable and successful visit for our twenty Year 11 and Sixth Form pupils.  The sun shone throughout and we were able to tour the main attractions, including the Brandenburg Gate, the Museumsinsel, the Holocaust Memorial, and Checkpoint Charlie, with ease.  Highlights included the Reichstag and Kuppel at night, a trip up the TV tower, a visit to the DDR museum, a guided visit to the Stasi headquarters and an in-depth tour of Berlin’s Jewish quarter.  Pupils were responsive to the culture of this fascinating city and appreciative of its main culinary offering, the Currywurst!
