HMSG TV

Students interested in TV, film, the media or simply life in general will be able to take advantage of HMSG’s very own film-making club!

HMSG TV is run by sixth-formers, with club members making a monthly news show during termtime that is broadcast on the school's Intranet.

Pupils find, write and produce their own shows, programmes, interviews, voxpops and short films under the expert guidance of staff member, Dr. I. Wallace. The shows are then aired around the school for pupils to watch, giving pupils valuable experience on life in the media and TV.

Future productions planned for this term include a science video, starring girls from Inglefield House who travel around the solar system to meet the planets, and a documentary about the HMSG buddy system, showing how Y13 girls help new Y7's to get the best out of their first year at the school.

HMSG TV is indebted to Friends of HMSG, who have just donated funds to allow the club to purchase a broadcast quality video camera. This will not only enhance the quality of the films but also give girls in the HMSG TV crew experience of using fully professional film-making equipment.
