On Wednesday, 9^th November, HMSG will give a performance of Faure’s Requiem in St Mary’s Church, Monmouth. This beautiful and serene choral masterpiece will be performed in a version that requires only Sopranos and Altos. This in no way diminishes the strength or the poignancy of this music, as the angelic girls’ voices suitably conveys the imagery and the power of the Latin Requiem text. The performers include the HMSG Chamber Choir and Year 8s and will be accompanied by Strings and Organ as prescribed by John Rutter in his performing version.  Tickets are priced at £5 (£3 concessions) and are available on the door.
