Children in Need Concert 2011

This year’s HMSG Children in Need Concert was presented to a sell-out audience.  Although following a well-rehearsed routine, there was nothing usual about our fund-raising jamboree.   The dance routines, which included a cast of all ages, were innovative, colourful and wonderfully entertaining, showing a vast array of talent and choreographic invention.  Music was provided by several choirs and a combined HMSG and MS orchestra, as well as the ever-popular Jazz Crusaders.  Performances, both of individual and orchestral music were strong and inspirational.  Mr Conway, who appeared in several eye-catching outfits and guises, hosted the event in his customary mischievous and jocular fashion, making the whole evening go with a swing, and encouraging the all-important contributions to the Children in Need cause.  The concert, along with other fundraising projects, raised a total of £3370 – a brilliant result!  Many thanks and congratulations are due not only to the performers but also to all the staff and parents who have worked so hard to make this evening yet another spectacular success.
