It was the turn of the rowers to show off their teaching skills on Friday 24th June. Each rower invited a teacher to row, where they had to coach and row with them in a boat. Although the weather was rather unkind, the teachers braved the rain and enthusiastically rose to the rowing challenge. A competitive streak appeared in several of the novice boats resulting in the girls challenging the teachers to row in a racing VIII. The teachers quickly grasped the basic rowing technique thanks to the excellent and patient coaching from the girls. This was a great display of enjoyment, teamwork, and bonding between the staff and girls
Teachers have requested a race next year. Good luck!
