Pupils Celebrate A Level Results

Pupils and teachers at Haberdashers’ Monmouth School for Girls celebrated another year of outstanding A Level results, with 80.42% A*-B grades and 24 girls who received at least 3 A*/A grade A Levels.

The School was delighted with the results which highlighted the pupils’ and teachers’ hard work and dedication.  HMSG was particularly pleased that the vast majority of pupils gained their first or second choice place at university.

HMSG recorded a 100% pass rate, with one girl gaining 4 A*s. Future Olympic hopeful Hannah, gained 2 A*s and an A whilst still training as part of the junior GB sailing squad.

Emily gained 4 A*s and will take up her place to read Biological Sciences at Wadham College, Oxford. Ella gained 2 A*s and 2 As and will read English Language and Literature at Exeter College, Oxford. Bella and Dola will both take up places at American Universities and Ellie will head to Maastricht University in Holland. Sarah, Chloe and Jessica achieved at least 3 A*s.

Mrs Helen Davy, Headmistress at HMSG said,

“I am extremely proud of the girls’ achievements.  After London 2012, we can see that with hard work, dedication and excellent teaching many of our girls achieved their own Gold, Silver and Bronze. The vast majority met or exceeded their own personal best and will be able to take up their first choice Universities. It is interesting to see this year that alongside our Oxbridge offers we have girls taking up places in the United States at the University of California, Berkley and LA, and in Maastricht, as pupils look to become global citizens.”
