The Winning Team: Cristina, Brigid and Emily (MalhCristina, Brigid and Emily took part in an intensive weekend of local fieldwork activities, with eight teams from around the UK.  On the final morning the teams had to produce a poster and five minute presentation on ‘What makes Malham a special place?’  The girls’ teamwork and planning were exemplary and acknowledged by the judging panel.  Their novel approach to the oral presentation - a role play centred on a travel agents, plus their eye catching poster display which included a terrific account of the Malham area through the eyes of a peregrine falcon, really captured the judges’ attention.

“During our stay at Malham Tarn we learnt many new fieldwork skills which were put into practice on the outdoor activities day.  Although winning was a highlight, we made many new friends and discovered new places.  Sad to leave as we were we will always remember the brilliant time we had and hope we can return in the future.”
