Joint Year 9 Trip to Haberdashers' Hall

On Monday 15 March twenty pupils from HMSG and twenty pupils from Monmouth School went on a trip to Haberdashers’ Hall in London. We also went on a flight on the London Eye.  Once we had made the long journey to London we went and had a picnic lunch in a park near the London Eye.  We then went on our ‘flight’ on the eye which was amazing because it was such a sunny day.  We then walked to Haberdashers’ Hall.  We firstly looked at some antique silver that belongs to the Haberdashers and had a go at suggesting what they were used for and giving them a value.  We had a tour around the Hall, looking at all the antiques, paintings and rooms where certain ceremonies are held.  We then returned for afternoon tea before making the journey back to Monmouth.  It was a long but enjoyable day.
