Staff and girls at HMSG, joined by the new Second Master at Monmouth School, have raised over £700 for LATCH, the Cardiff-based children's cancer charity.

A number of events took place over the first half of term, involving a number of different people.  The first event was the Cardiff 10km and 2km fun run in September, completed by 9 senior HMSG rowers and 8 staff.  Then Mrs Newcomb ran the Nottingham 'Robin Hood' marathon in a very impressive time.  In mid-October Mr Arrand and Mr Dorman completed the Cardiff Half Marathon and a week later Mr Penny ran the arduous Snowdonia Mountain Marathon in under 4 hours.  A wonderful effort which was gratefully received by the LATCH charity.
