Catie, Hannah and Roshani competed in the District round of The ESU Public Speaking Competition on Tuesday, February 8th at the Cheltenham Council Chambers.  The competition was very closely run and the 5 teams involved acquitted themselves admirably.  The speeches were delivered clearly and knowledgeably and  responses to the questions posed by the audience and the questioners were answered with confidence.  A very competent set of chairmen controlled the proceedings and summed up each presentation articulately . Our speaker, Catie, was awarded the Mayor's prize for the best speech of the evening.  Our team may not have won the event this time but as year 10 students, they will be able to take part in this competition next year and perhaps they will be bringing the trophy home!  Well done girls.
