Olivia sets her sights on Commonwealth success

Olivia, who left HMSG in 2007, has been selected to represent Wales in the Commonwealth Games next month.  She started fencing at HMSG at the age of 12 and three months later was in the Welsh Junior Home International Squad.  Since leaving school she has enjoyed tremendous success in her chosen sport.  She recently won a silver medal in the Women’s foil team event and a Bronze medal in the Women’s epee team event at the Junior Commonwealth Championships in Malaysia (February 2009) and now has her sights set on success at the top level.  In May 2009 she captained the Women’s Foil Team and she recently competed in her fifth Senior Five Nations tournament.

Olivia has also represented Great Britain at the Junior Woman’s Foil World Cup and was the Welsh Universities Champion in 2009.

We wish her every success and look forward to watching her progress at the Games.
