Everyone contributed to our eventual and thoroughly deserved success. This year, a change came with the new house T-shirts, as all Mather Jackson supporters shone out from the crowd, in blue. The house had been informed about how impressed many people were at our house spirit and support of the competing athletes. This credit was not unduly given, as all members of Mather Jackson cheered on friends and countless renditions of our house anthem were sung.  On the whole, the day was a resounding success, with many victories in various races, including new school records in the squadron and the elite relay races which  enabled us to get those few extra points to win the sports day shield.

Everyone competing did the house proud, no matter whether they won their individual event or not, as everyone put in an enormous amount of effort into competing and supporting each other, which added to our long awaited victory. Our name may now be engraved on the shield for the first time since 2004.

Congratulations to every girl who competed, from all four houses, and thanks to all of the staff who worked so hard to make the day such a success.
