This weekend HMSG entered a team into the Inter-Schools One-Day Event Team Championships hosted by Stonar School.
Kate was our individual entry for Class 1. She achieved a PB on her Stonar dressage score and went on to do a double clear (show jumping and cross-country). She finished 13th in a section of 27 competitors and had the fastest cross-country time of the day.
We fielded a team of three for Class 3. In a high-pressure competition when the three best scores are used from a team of four, only having three from the outset created a serious challenge for the girls. Each girl also had to compete as an individual.
Menna made her Stonar debut on her new partner Vionetty W and the pair put in a fabulous performance coming 11th out of a section of 24 riders.

Olivia, making her debut for HMSG, started strongly with a good dressage score on Shamrock X and a wonderful clear round in the show-jumping. She came 8th in her section out of 25.

Sophie was also making her Stonar debut on the Section D Welsh Cob Menai Iori. She was lying second in her section after the dressage and after a stunning clear round, moved into first place. Despite earning a couple of time penalties in the cross-country she maintained her first place, winning her section in fine style!
Together the girls achieved 4th place in the team event, which was strongly contested by 19 other schools and some of them the finest equestrian schools in the country. Well done girls!
