Imbert Terry: Eisteddfod

Eisteddfod

After winning the Christmas Charity Day celebrations, Imbert Terry had a lot to live up to for this year's Eisteddfod.  Not only did we meet the high expectations of both our house staff and rival houses, we performed consistently well and were rewarded with some phenomenal results.  Imbert Terry were grateful to receive the awards for both Dance and Drama, also collecting the Friends Cup for winning the most of the morning's activities including History, Spanish, Business & Economics and the Junior Instrumental Solo, amongst many others.  Perhaps the most highly sought after prize of House Choir was also adjudicated in our favour (and rightly so!).  Despite an incredibly strong performance from Mather Jackson; Imbert Terry were commended on our 'unity as a choir' and 'beautiful harmonies', receiving no criticisms from the judge.  Our rendition of 'California Dreaming' was clear and strong, perfectly conducted and well timed - the hard work really did pay off. Every single girl participated in our Eisteddfod and the enthusiasm from every year group was astounding, Imberts were supportive of both their house and their competitors, eventually coming to a graceful victory.  I have never been more proud to be a part of Imbert Terry, standing on the stage as Head of House was undoubtedly the pinnacle of my HMSG journey and I look forward to hearing of yet more success in the years to come.
