On Saturday the 22nd of January, Hayley travelled to Birmingham to compete in the West Midlands Regional British Youth Championships. In the U16 Girls Foil she had one round of Pools (fights to five against all girls in the same category).  From this she was promoted to Direct Elimination, ranking 3rd.  In the DE fight to 15, she lost closely, 12-15, but had secured a bronze medal and had qualified for the Nationals, which are in May.  Congratulations, Hayley.
