The Annual Harris Society Dinner took place on the evening of 15th February in the School dining room. There were sixty guests: a mixture of staff, students and invited guests. The after dinner speaker was Dr. Steve Publicover who is a lecturer from the School of Biosciences at Birmingham University.
After a wonderful meal, Dr. Publicover gave a lecture on ‘the life of a sperm: short but important’ which outlined the huge difficulties a sperm must overcome to reach an egg and fertilise it. An interesting and informative evening was enjoyed by all.
