Hockey is played in the Michaelmas term at HMSG. All abilities are welcome and catered for in our extensive extra – curricular sports programme.

In Years 7 and 8 pupils learn the core skills and tactics of hockey and are given the opportunity to play in 7 aside matches these matches are predominantly played on a Wednesday games afternoon and on a Saturday. In Years 9, 10 and 11 the pupils progress their knowledge and tactical awareness and play 11 a side hockey, these matches are often on a training night or on a Saturday.
