School Chaplain

Our Chaplain is the Reverend Catherine Haynes, who joined the school in September 2012.

So what is the Chaplaincy?

Help for your problems...
Chaplaincy is there for everyone, including YOU, whatever your faith, and whether you have a faith or not.  It can support you any time you need help – no problem too big or too small.

Help for your assembly and worship...
There's help for planning assemblies and Pause for Thought.  If you come from another faith, the chaplaincy can also put you in touch with your own faith leader (e.g., an Imam, if you're a Muslim).

Help for learning more about faith...
This is where you come to find out more about faith and spirituality and to ask questions.  If you'd like to be baptised or confirmed, we have annual confirmation classes.  If you think you may have a calling to do something specific, e.g., to be a doctor, teacher or vicar, you can come and talk about it.

Where are you based?

At the top of the spiral staircase in the tower.  You'll find the entrance off the year 7 corridor in the Maths Department.

When can you see me?

I am available most days from 1.30-2.00pm in the chaplain's room.  But, if you need me at other times, ask at reception and I'll see you as soon as I can.
