Classics Trip to Greece

A group of girls and staff had a very enjoyable week in Greece visiting a number of ancient sites.  They also enjoyed leisure time in the sun whilst it rained most days back at home.

The schedule proved busy and enjoyable and we made the most of the sun, although we enjoyed the air conditioned coaches and hotels too! See the menu on the left for more pictures.

 Day one: Depart HMSG and arrive in Athens
Day two: Visits to the Acropolis, Parthenon, ancient Agora and National Museum
Day three: Explore the sanctuary and museum at Delphi.  We were keen to see if we could find the Oracle.
Day four: Visit the Sanctuary of Zeus at Olympia and explore the site of the original Olympic Games.  Not many athletes to see in the heat!
Day five: Trips to Mycenae, Corinth and Tiryns with afternoon spent swimming.
Day six: Visits to the theatre at Epidauros and shopping in Nafplion with another afternoon at the pool.
Day seven: Morning of leisure time with a visit to the sanctuary of Zeus at Nemea before catching the plane home.
