On Tuesday evening, 17 female cadets travelled with the rest of the army section to Tidworth (home of the Royal Welsh Regiment) on Salisbury Plain. After bashering up and raiding our ration packs we went on a night orienteering exercise, enlivened by the staff setting off flares and us diving into the brambles for cover. Up with the sun the next morning we split into six sections, with Section 2 led by Cdt. Sgt. Ellie and Section 6 by Cdt. Emily. The day consisted of a round of stands including physical training and familiarisation with weapons, run by members of the Royal Welsh, ambush drills with 31CTT, CQB, air rifle targets and command tasks. After an action packed day we arrived back at the RV streaked with cam cream and raw eggs - an interesting combination!
