Mrs Reynolds joined HMSG in 2006. She has taught for 19 years in schools and art colleges and has worked in publishing as a designer and illustrator. She is a practising artist with paintings in both public and private collections in the UK and USA.
Mrs Reynolds delivers fine art (drawing, painting, printmaking) throughout the curriculum to years 7-9, 10 and 11 (GCSE), 12 (AS) and 13 (A2)
Full time teacher of Art: Miss L Porritt BA (Hons) Fine Art : Printmaking (Cardiff), PGCE (Cardiff)
Miss Porritt joined HMSG in 2007. She is an enthusiastic and talented teacher who attained QTS in 2009. She is a practising printmaker and 3D specialist.
Miss Porritt delivers fine art (drawing, painting, printmaking) and ceramics to years 7-9, 10 and 11 (GCSE), and printmaking to year 12 (AS) and 13 (A2)
Part time teacher of Art: Mr G Nicklin BA (Hons) Fine Art (Newport), ATD (Cardiff)
Mr Nicklin joined HMSG in 2006. He has over 30 years teaching experience and was Head of Art at Nantyglo Comprehensive School before accepting early retirement. Mr Nicklin is an exceptional teacher with a broad art history knowledge.
Mr Nicklin delivers fine art (drawing and painting) to years 9, 11 (GCSE), 12 (AS) and 13 (A2)

Mr Kavanagh joined HMSG in 2006. He is a respected and renowned professional photographer. Mr Kavanagh relishes the opportunity to pass on his creative skills and technical knowledge to girls who wish to specialise in the subject as an alternative or enrichment to Art and Design.
Mr Kavanagh delivers extra curricular courses to years 10-13 leading to GCSE, AS, A2 and the Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society
