Salter House has undergone major refurbishment to further enhance the purpose built centre for the sixth form. The ever-popular café, on the ground floor, continues to provide hot drinks and light refreshments. Boys from Monmouth School are welcome in the café. The first floor is where the staff have their offices and where the girls do their work. Each year group has a study room equipped with computers and News24.
There are roughly 80 pupils in each year group divided between six forms. Each year group has a common room, complete with flat-screen TVs and comfy chairs.
The Sixth Form Forum meets half termly under the direction of the Head of Sixth Form and one of the deputy head girls. The forum discusses all matters pertaining to the Sixth Form.
All members of Year 12 are offered a course in basic counselling skills. On completion of this course they are invited to join the Sixth Form Support Group. The support group aims to offer help and advice to younger girls, where sixth formers act as mentors to small groups of Year 7 pupils.
The social committee organises social and charitable functions in the sixth form, such as the May Ball and the Christmas Disco. The committee provides the opportunity for girls to take on responsibility and develop organisational skills.
