Quiz Night: Friday 17th May 2013, 7pm
Last year’s Quiz Night was a sell-out and a hugely enjoyable evening for both parents and staff. Mr Arrand proved a formidable quizmaster and has kindly promised to return this year. Do come along to support the School and pit your wits against fellow parents and – even better – your daughter’s teachers! Tickets for this informal evening are just £10 a head, including a delicious buffet curry; licensed bar available too. If you can gather your own team (4-8 people), that’s great; but if not, simply get in touch and we’ll find a friendly team for you to join.
To book your tickets and tell us if you need to join a team, please email Louise Frankel in the Bursary: lfrankel@hmsg.co.uk or give her a call: 01600 711235.
Termly Tea: Tuesday 21st May 2013, 3-5pm
Following the success of our last Termly Tea, we’re warming the pots for our next! Do please drop in before or after pick-up, whichever suits you best, anytime between 3-5pm. You’ll find us in the Garden Room, at the top of the drive, by the main hall. A refreshing cup of tea and tasty cakes await (all free!) Just to make sure we don’t run out of either, it would be great to know if you’re planning to come – simply email friends@hmsg.co.uk – but don’t worry if you haven’t let us know… we’d love to see you anyway.
Jazz Café Evening: Friday 14th June 2013, 7pm
If you haven’t been before, this is a wonderful evening of music and song hosted by Mario Conway’s Jazz Crusaders: the school’s very own jazz band, made-up mainly of pupils with a few staff members too. Hamersley Hall (behind St Catherine’s on the Hereford Road) is transformed into an atmospheric jazz café for the evening. This is always a popular event, so do please book your tickets as soon as you can: they’re £10 a head to include a buffet meal; a licensed bar will be available too.
Again, tickets for the Jazz Café Evening are available from Louise Frankel in the Bursary; please feel free to email lfrankel@hmsg.co.uk or call her on 01600 711235.
None of these events are planned specifically to raise funds – although it’s nice if we do! – our main aim is to help bring the school, the teaching staff and you, the parents, closer together.
