Eisteddfod

Eisteddfod

After much anticipation, St. David's day had finally arrived, and didn't HMSG know it.  The glass atrium was adorned with house colours, banners and posters, all encouraging the four houses of the school.  Much preparation had been undertaken and at long last we were all ready to see it pay off.  The skills displayed in the afternoon's performances and presentation of trophies highlighted once again how gifted the girls of HMSG are and what a wealth of diverse talent we are lucky enough to be surrounded by on a daily basis.  From Diana in Year 7 playing the harp with dignity and skill beyond her years to Josie in Year 13 lighting up the hall with her magical jazz sax; from a spectacular variety of dance produced in little more than two hours to a fluent Welsh speaker enticing the audience with her mother tongue, the 1st of March at HMSG truly was an absolute accolade to all pupils and staff involved.

Congratulations to Imbert Terry who were overall winners and to Emily in Year 13 who was named Bard.

Rhiannon, Head of Imbert Terry
