To celebrate the World Cup, Year 8 French decided to make shortbread biscuits….  so Madame Vickers did the cookery demonstration whilst Madame Thiry explained the method to us in French.

Next we researched all the flags and football kits of the teams taking part in World Cup 2010 and set about icing the biscuits…

We invited all of the Year 8s to gather together to discuss the football scores, eat the biscuits and have a drink whilst celebrating by watching a French film.  This didn’t quite work out to be such a happy event as England, losing to Germany the day before, were out of the tournament.  Quel dommage!
