HMSG enjoyed a successful day at the County Athletics Championships on Tuesday, 4^th May.  Two girls became individual County Champions:  Menna in the junior girls 1500m and Hannah in the middle girls 200m.  The middle girls 4 x 100m relay team consisting of Hannah, Olivia, Fiona  and Hannah also won their race convincingly.  The individual winners will now go on to represent South East Wales at the Welsh Schools Championships in July.  Two senior girls who competed last week, Brigid and Georgina, have also been selected for the team. 

In addition to the above, several girls gave solid performances;  Elana came 2^nd in the 800m; Olivia just missed out on first place in the high jump, Lucy was 3^rd in the shot and Poppy was 3^rd in the high jump and 4^th in the 1500m.
