Abigail, Year 12, was recently awarded third prize in a History essay writing competition about Winston Churchill run by the Churchill Centre in London.  The title of her essay was,

To what extent did Churchill’s personality play a greater role than his actions in his success as a politician up until he became Chancellor in 1924?

Not only was she given a cash prize for her 5000 word essay, which she researched and completed independently over the summer, but her success also meant that the school library was awarded several books on the great man himself.  Well done Abigail!
