In a successful half term of cross country, HMSG teams have been dominant in the South East Wales league and County Championships.

Year 7 and Year 10/11 teams won both the league and championship races by a huge margin and the Year 8/9 team followed closely in a credible third place.

There were outstanding individual performances in the Year 7 race by Erlina, who finished 4th in the South East Wales Championships and Eleanor who finished 6th.

These girls, together with Ellana (Year 10) and Tessa (Year 11) who claimed third and fourth places respectively, have now guaranteed their places in the South East Wales team and will compete at the Welsh Schools Championships in February.

A number of other girls who finished just below the top six are also now nervously awaiting selection to see if they have made the team.
