We recently received the fantastic news that three girls from Year 11 who aspire to careers in engineering , Kia, Lisa and Francesca have been successful in the rigorous selection process for the highly prestigious Arkwright scholarships.  Kia and Lisa have been matched with their sponsor; Francesca still waits to hear about hers who will hopefully be matched by August. Arkwright scholars have access to various excellent support such as work experience and personal mentors through their A Level studies and are matched to sponsors who are often commercial firms. The girls hope to go on to study bio-engineering, engineering science and mechanical engineering. We look forward to all three girls formally receiving their scholarships in November at an awards ceremony in London.
